Adam Vaughn has traveled the world over the past four years studying, teaching, and volunteering his time in the fields of yoga, Ayurveda, bodywork, permaculture, and transformational event organization. He has a degree in environmental science, specializing in sustainable management from B.G.S.U. He was highly involved in environmental and social justice organizations in college, coordinating the local community gardens, initiating a composting program for the university, and organizing events. He has participated in ceremony, and worked with elders, medicine-men, and other notable figures within the Navajo, Lakota, and Sioux Nations. He studied Reiki under Anya Trahan, author of Opening Love, and is a first and second degree certified practitioner. He has a permaculture design certificate from Midwest Permaculture, and did his final thesis designing the gardens for Stonehouse Farm and Sanctuary in Illinois. He is certified in Thai Massage completing studies in the U.S. and Thailand. He has completed over 500 hours of yoga studies through Moksha Yoga Chicago, Sugham Bhavanthu, the Himalayan Iyengar Institute, and other centers in the U.S. and India. He most recently lived in Oakland, Califorinia, working as a full-time urban farm installer and studying Ayurveda at Mount Madonna, but has also lived in Mt. Shasta, California, Chicago, Illinois, Athens and Toledo, Ohio. His studies and travels have brought him to a well-grounded understanding of himself and his surroundings, and put him in a good position to teach and help others.
